Intermediate First Aid with CPR-C and AED

This course used to be called Standard First Aid. As of June 22, 2026, it is renamed to Intermediate First Aid. 

Intermediate First Aid includes all aspects of Basic First Aid and provides additional comprehensive first aid training. Candidates demonstrate first aid care for anaphylaxis, shock, stroke, amputations, facial injuries, burn injuries, fractures and dislocations, neck or spinal column injuries, seizures, diabetic emergencies, and environmental injury and illness. Includes CPR-C with AED certification for adult, child and infant. It is recognized by Ontario's Workplace Safety & Insurance Board.

The first aid program is not restricted to aquatic candidates. You can use the Lifesaving Society's first aid awards to train non-aquatic staff (camp, playground, maintenance, etc.) and the general public.

Prerequisite: None.

Candidate recognition: Certification card.

Required reference material: Canadian First Aid Manual (included in the price of the course)

Class Length: 16 hours total

Dates: Thurs. Aug. 20 (4-8pm), Fri. Aug. 21 (4-8pm), Sat. Aug. 22 (12-8pm)
